Summer Season Information

What are your hours? We are open 10:00am – 5:00pm daily from early May through to the end of September. What does General Admission include? General Admission provides full access to:
  • Our hands-on petting farm
  • The RCMP Museum highlighting their role in the Yukon Gold Rush
  • Our Wildlife Museum featuring Ice Age species and present-day Yukon animals
How long should we plan to spend on site? Most guests spend 1.5–3 hours exploring the petting farm, museums, and add on experiences. Do we need to book in advance? Advance booking online is strongly recommended, particularly during peak summer months. Can we purchase tickets at the gate? Walk-in tickets may be available depending on capacity, but availability is not guaranteed. What should we wear in the summer? Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Bring:
  • A hat
  • Sunscreen - Yukon summer sun can be strong, especially during peak daylight hours.
Are pets allowed? No. Pets are not permitted on site to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals and guests. Is food available on site? Yes, you can purchase 2 lunch options, as well as stop in the cafe for refreshments, ice cream, and snacks. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages as well. Why are the mushing dogs so loud? Our dogs are very loud when they know there is a cart ride about to happen – that’s their way of expressing their excitement to run!

Winter Season Information

Do I need to book winter activities in advance? Yes. All winter experiences should be booked online in advance. Winter capacity is limited and all experiences operate at scheduled time slots. Can we book same-day? No, same day bookings are reserved for rebookings only. Otherwise you must book 48hrs in advance for our team to be prepared to host you. Is there a minimum age requirement? Yes! Our winter tours are for those 18-65 yrs old. Is the experience physically demanding? Winter terrain may include snow and uneven surfaces. Guests should be comfortable walking outdoors in winter conditions. How long do winter activities last? From pick up to drop off the tour lasts 6 hours. Do you offer transportation? Yes, we pick you up and drop you off from your hotel or accommodation. We DO NOT allow guests to show up in their own vehicles. How cold does it get? Temperatures fluctuate, but average -10°C in the daytime and -20°C overnight. In extreme cases temperatures can drop below -30°C, at which point we DO NOT operate for the safety of guests and staff. What happens if it is extremely cold? We monitor weather closely and try to give maximum notice for cancellations. If conditions are colder than -30°C, we will reach out to reschedule. If it cannot be rescheduled, you will receive a full refund. What should we wear? Guests must dress appropriately for extreme cold:
  • Insulated winter boots
  • Thermal base layers
  • Heavy winter coat
  • Snow pants (recommended)
  • Warm hat, gloves, and scarf
What is your cancellation policy?
  • 30+ days notice: 100% refund
  • 15-29 days notice: 50% refund
  • 0-14 days notice: 0% refund
What if flights are delayed? Please contact us immediately. We will try to reschedule based on availability. If unavailable, we may have to rebook at your own expense or cancel without a refund. Can we take photos during winter activities? Yes. Photography for personal use is encouraged.
